Helping Heroes Home, an initiative of Cell Phones for Soldiers, provides emergency funding for returning veterans to alleviate communication challenges as well as physical, emotional, and assimilation hardships.
Helping Heroes Home is a program within Cell Phones for Soldiers. Cell Phones for Soldiers is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization dedicated to providing cost-free communication services to active duty military members and veterans.
Since its inception in 2004, Cell Phones for Soldiers has worked to keep military families connected by providing FREE communications tools to those serving overseas in the United States military.
Cell Phones for Soldiers was founded by Robbie and Brittany Bregquist of Norwell MA at the ages of 12 and 13. The organization has provided more than 168 million minutes of FREE talk time to our troops and has prevented more than 10.5 million cell phones from ending up in landfills.
In July 2012, the Bergquist family launched Helping Heroes Home, which provides emergency funding for returning veterans to alleviate communication challenges as well as physical, emotional, and assimilation hardships.
"Since starting Cell Phones for Soldiers, we've wanted to create a program that would allow us to serve veterans here at home" said Brittany Bergquist. 'Helping Heroes Home' is that solution. "It allows us to quickly amend a difficult situation and restore some peace of mind and support".
